DUNDALK BAY BREWERY
The Dundalk Bay Brewery was a short side project, which I allocated myself a week to complete then an extended week to amend, in order to prioritise my final majors. The reason I took this extra brief is because I have a keen interest in branding and rebranding, and thought it would be a good opportunity to do a project I would enjoy whilst showing of my skills in the area.
The brief was to create a logo for Dundalk bay brewery and a label for their Brewmaster brand. Dundalk Bay Brewery specified they wish the logo and label to come across as a high quality brand as they mentioned they wish the brand to be perceived as traditional, and to consider using colours like gold or visual reference to beer related iconography.

Action on Hearing Loss
Application
University Project
For my third and last final major project for my Graphics Degree, I choose the Action on Hearing Loss project from the YCN Student Awards. The objective of this brief was to visualise hearing loss. The brief stated that you could use any format and it should have flexibility to work across many channels whilst being compelling and having a real impact on peoples perception on hearing loss getting people to sit up and have impact peoples current perception of the issue of hearing loss and deafness. It stated to aim to give people an option on how to maintain, get support or give support on the issue. Leaving the target audience to be chosen by me.
I started by doing research into hearing loss and its causes and effects, and into the general perception of the disability. After completing the research I found that there is a negative stigma and perception around the issue, especially with young people who think hearing loss only effects the older population. This is an area I felt needed dealt with, and decided to base my campaign around tackling that stigma whilst giving support and vital information.
